Cannot Open Minecraft?

I had the same exact thing happen to me. What you have to do is, instead of right clicking on Minecraft, left click on it and then run as administrator.

If this issue is not yet resolved, instead of deleting and re-installing Minecraft, you should delete the whole Minecraft directory, (file called minecraft) in %appdata% I believe this is where it is put on Windows, or Application Support if you're mac user, these two places are where things like Shaders Packs, resource/texture packs etc. are saved, if you already solved the issue, what did you do for future references... Good Luck!

It happened after I ran an Anti-Malware scan, and yes I have tried re-downloading Minecraft and .minecraft, but still same thing!

Looks like your internet connection or something because there is a proxy and that.

Try deleting all Minecraft content on your PC, such as folders, mods, maps,etc. Then redownload the game and it should be done
