Render distance on Normal, FOV on Quake Pro, Fancy, Smooth lighting off (Because I like the old look of minecraft) and I get around 80 fps, sometimes over 100. And we're talking about a Macbook pro hooked up to a dell 1440 x 900 monitor.

Render Distance: Normal so I can see the cool skies in my texture packs
View Bobbing: Off because it feels uncomfortable
Fancy Graphics because I can run it
Smooth Lighting: Off because there's no point I see for it
Particles: On so I can see crits
I run all of this around 300-400 fps

Fov: 105
Sensitivity: 69 (this is default, and I just adjusted my mouse sensitivity. This is not on purpose.)
Render Distance: Tiny (w/ optifine)
View bobbing: off
Smooth Lighting: off
Graphics: fast
Particles/ minimal

This is all because I have a super bad computer. Even with these settings I only get around 30 at most.

When I had my old laptop, I would play on minimum settings. I did this for almost 2 years.
When I got my new computer, it didn't feel right having amazing settings. I decided to be indefinitely nostalgic and keep my old settings with a few modifications.

I use:
- Quake Pro FOV
- 100 sensitivity with 2000dpi
- 4 chunks (Render Distance)
- View Bobbing off
- Fast Graphics
- Clouds off
- Fancy Grass (Optifine)
- Smooth Lighting off
- All Particles
- Sky off
I usually get 200-300fps.

My controls are even more bizarre.
Crouch = Ctrl
Sprint = Q
Drop = C
Chat = I (I macro using my mouse)
Escape = ESC key broke (I macro using my mouse)
Toggle Perspective = F5 (I macro using my mouse)
Zoom = Shift
