Don't take out an exact amount. I would recommend taking out enough where the gameplay is well, but it still looks natural and nice.

I've had this idea ever since I started playing MCSG, but I never had the initiative to build my own airport map.

The amount of grass I used throughout most of the map was 50% grass, 5% fern, and 45% air. I'll try to make it 75% air and see how it looks (I can't change anything about the map until March 16th though).
