Since when is he not allowed to inform someone of the rules?

That's like saying a Moderator isn't allowed to tell someone "If you think that a staff member is behaving inappropriately, contact a Senior Moderator."

Sorry (notsorry) Kingyy_, but RodAU did nothing wrong. In fact, I am grateful to him (or her) for asking someone to not multi-post.

(oh wait, it doesn't say that.)

To put things in perspective: Up until this January, I was not a staff member. But I still reminded people about double-posting, where to report rule-breakers and dispute bans, and answered questions if I had an answer.
I got hate about doing that from players who didn't like what I was saying, even if they were blatantly breaking the rules.

So, to put it in your own words...
