I don't think that would be a good thing, there are many people out that lead good clans or are good players. But you get trained in the clan staff. I don't think they would train non staff members. It would be a waste of time.

I like what you are saying. It makes sense, seems like a cool thing to do, but i don't see it being realistic.

People would abuse it, they would find clan staff a easier way of having mod powers. (Because clan staff needs to be able to ban and kick from both and and game) and if you didn't have those powers why listen to you?

If you desperately want to become clan staff, you want to change the community, which is a very positive thing, a thing few people posses. So at that point you should just apply for mod.

Like i said, the idea sounds very cool and theoretically would work out very positively, but it just doesn't seem realistic at the moment.

Plus, Incase you didn't know, moderators have to wait a LOT to become a moderator, and having people apply specifically for clan staff would take away from people applying for staff and becoming staff time.

If users would able to receive Clan Staff; that's basically giving them mod as well seeing as Clan Staff people need to be able to have the authorities of a mod to mute users spamming in clan battles as well as banning hackers that are interrupting a clan battle. If users had that power, I would see many people abusing it for the sake of their own clan or simply to let another clan gain an advantage over one they dislike. I do like the suggestion of it as we need some more clan staff members, but regular users may end up abusing the powers and their authority which is why we have staff only clan staff members.

I see your point, but who's to say that if someone is a moderator, they wouldn't abuse their powers and let their favorite clan win? :)

To everyone saying normal members would abuse the powers, who's to say that if someone is a moderator, they wouldn't abuse their powers and let their favorite clan win? :)

With normal moderators, we tend not to have them deal with clan issues involving their clan xL1ghtAura instead, we have two other clan staff moderators watching their clan battle to see if anything does arise within it. If it does, they immediately report it to a Sr. Staff member and let them do the rest to prevent moderators from abusing their powers.

I dont think you understand what we mean. To get moderator, not only takes a bunch of time WAITING, but takes a bunch of time to write an essay, for instance, most people write 2.3k+ words on their application, then wait for weeks to be interviewed, go through a 40 minute interview of jitters, then wait a few days to be trained, it takes to much time and effort for someone to get it SIMPLY to get it removed the next day, and im not saying no one has become mod to do this, because people have, but just giving out the power at an easier way for the community, many of which wouldn't be to far away from being called toxic, and rude. The point of clan staff is for a authoritative figure to watch over a battle and deal with any issues that occur during it. Giving it to random public members not only fails the idea of authority, but leaves more room for abuse.

Like ive said before, it's a great idea, i'd love to see it, but it's not realistic in this community.

I do see your point, along with Juxify's, but, even when a user applies for Moderator and they get it, theirs as much of a chance of them abusing their powers, as their is a member abusing their clan staff power. Everyone starts out as a normal member, along with staff.

That's totally true, everyone starts out as a normal member, but applying for staff takes a lot of time and dedication. The application process is a way to find people who will be a good moderator, as well as someone that can handle the responsibilities they earn with it. Sr. Staff members weed out the people who seem like they will abuse their powers separating the bad ones and the good ones.
