I understand your idea and think it is realy thoughtfull and a great idea. On the oter hand you have to think of the work the devolpoers would have to do to completley revamp the ststem they have relied on for 2 years. It would require alot of coding and trials and betas that although a good idea would probibly turn into a long project. Not saying that the devs cant do it because based on all they have done so far they seem more then capable of pulling off anything that we can think of. Seems like a great idea and yes I do think it would encurage people to be online more often. Hope to maybe see your idea become a reality one day.

I love the idea of weekly and monthly leaderboards that sounds like an amazing idea! I hope that one day this idea will be incorporated into the MCSG system.

No matter how many people want it, I doubt this would go through. Too risky for the staff team.

Bump. Might be considered a necro, but I think it still has good reasoning to be seen again. I'd love it if a high ranking staff member, or even better, a developer, could add some insight onto this idea. Even if a new system simply used some of these core ideas, that would be fantastic. I've been speaking to some older players recently and not one of them disagreed even slightly with the idea.

So again, give it some thought. And please, share your opinions upper-staff.

I don't like the idea of 500 people getting a reward as it would make the reward pretty common and unsatisfying considering that usually 3000 people are online on MCGamer.

Then it's just considered a common reward. It's the top rewards people should aim for anyways. It takes so much work to get into even the top 500 nowadays though that they should get some type of visual reward. While there may be 3000 people online at any given time, only a small chunk of those are top 500 players generally. The reward wouldn't be as common as you think it might be.

Good idea, although, if someone got first for the weekly one, I doubt they would do it again.

This idea needs to be implemented. Not only will it cause a more competitive atmosphere with more of a chance to suceed, but it will also boost the size of the community and cause more players to actively play.
