One thing I realized after working the Community Management position, along with a number of other jobs, during the last several years: no one is ever handed the amount of support they feel they need. No one gets paid enough, no one is ever appreciated enough, no one is ever recognized for their efforts enough. Most people will never get past this, and thus find complacency with failure. But successful people work past it, as uncomfortable and uncertain as it all may be.
The most successful workers will do one (or more) of three things: they'll find additional help on their own accord, they'll make it impossible for others not to give them the amount of support they need, or they find the strength to make due with what they have and overcome what they lack. Whether you're running a Youtube channel, managing a staff of 120 moderators, or leading the free world, you will inevitably have to rely on one of those tactics.
Hope that helps.
