Motivation to record MCSG and in general.

One thing I realized after working the Community Management position, along with a number of other jobs, during the last several years: no one is ever handed the amount of support they feel they need. No one gets paid enough, no one is ever appreciated enough, no one is ever recognized for their efforts enough. Most people will never get past this, and thus find complacency with failure. But successful people work past it, as uncomfortable and uncertain as it all may be.

The most successful workers will do one (or more) of three things: they'll find additional help on their own accord, they'll make it impossible for others not to give them the amount of support they need, or they find the strength to make due with what they have and overcome what they lack. Whether you're running a Youtube channel, managing a staff of 120 moderators, or leading the free world, you will inevitably have to rely on one of those tactics.

Hope that helps.
That help's a lot, thank you Star! <3 Appreciated.

Kind of off topic but I needed to get this off my chest.

BEFORE RECORDING MCSG, HEED MY WARNING.

It's an honest trap. There are so many hopefuls trying to get big in the wasteland that is MCSG content, and if you do succeed, you're stuck. If you record anything besides MCSG, your audience will abandon you. When I got banned and stopped posting MCSG content, 80% or more of my audience dipped. If you go to any channel with 2-20k subs that upload MCSG the majority of the time, but have a stray series here and there you can tell that MCSG content is favored. If you want to get a decent following and be able to record other things besides MCSG, take up another style of lets play, or multiple at once to get people to like YOU and not MCSG. It takes a massive amount more work, but it's more than worth it. The other way I see people have flexibility is if they are upwards of 50k they usually get more people watching them for them just because of their size.

I record both SW:TOR and MCSG on my channel and am currently RPing the SWTOR charrie in question. There are a few kinks but I'm bound and determined to record that LP and I'll be damned if I let fewer views stop me. I actually have more positive comments on my SWTOR videos than I do on MCSG which I wasn't expecting. I suppose this could partially be because I suck at MCSG and people rarely ever comment on those videos of mine even though I instituted a comment of the day. :(

It really depends on you commentating skills, I'm surprised by that percentage considering how good a commentator you are. If you do MCSG YouTube because your good at the game then you will have a problem yet if you do it because of your commentating skills then it should be easier to begin new series and record other games. On the whole I do agree though.
