Wasn't oZeppy like 16? Just shows that being older doesn't make someone a better mod.
Our Minecraft servers are offline but we will keep this forum online for any community communication. Site permissions for posting could change at a later date but will remain online.
You never know, we're still going stronger than ever, after a year.Okay I don't really think MCSG will be around in 3 years, so I doubt I'll ever really be a mod :/ But I didn't expect to be accepted ( I haven't been declined yet, but I know I will be )
Yes, I wasn't saying that older=better. Obviously there are some exceptions, there are superb younger mods as well as not so good older mods. But generally, older does mean more responsible, and so better suited to moderate our servers.Wasn't oZeppy like 16? Just shows that being older doesn't make someone a better mod.
That is a good pointYou never know, we're still going stronger than ever, after a year.

I also agree with the statement that some 16, 17 and 18 year olds are immature. That's why we go through the extensive application and then interview process, we try to find the most mature and responsible people of the lot. But remember it's not just who's the most mature who gets the job, we do pick people for other skills and qualities as well.
I don't think it's going to happen. Fifteen is already a reasonable age. Also, the lower the age requirement, the more applications there will be to look at, and the higher the standards. Sr. Mods will also be busier with the extra apps. What about my idea?
It has been raised several times before, and while we do agree that it is a good idea, the fact is we just don't have enough senior staff to police it as you pointed out. As well as that, there is a problem with them just banning or kicking on the spot, because there are complexities that have to be dealt with, such as the user having been banned/kicked before, in which case they wouldn't be able to deal with it as it could result in more than just a tempban. What about my idea?
No, but if you have only played 1 game you obviously won't have a good chance. However it's judged mainly on your app and interview, not how many games you've played. It's the same for forum posts, we will be more likely to hire you if you are active on the forums, but it is my no means a requirement. As long as you have been around long enough to know the ins and outs of MCSG, there's no requirement for time served. Is there any time played on the servers limit to become a mod?
Post them in the report abuse section of the forums, please.I'd like to be a moderator it would be awesome to help w/ the hunger games servers considering that I record them daily. I have some footage of hackers that I would like to report as well.
Look in the first post for a link to where you post applications and do what le0 said with the footage.I'd like to be a moderator it would be awesome to help w/ the hunger games servers considering that I record them daily. I have some footage of hackers that I would like to report as well.
