Sorry, I'm not a fan of this.
The mobs just made everything so chaotic, when there were mobs, they were everywhere. Trying to make your way through a horde of creepers and zombies isn't the Survival Games, that's MineZ.
The Survival Games is about PVP, Player Vs Player, and it's enormously difficult to do that when mobs are swarming you.

Yes, it adds a new level of difficulty to the gameplay, but it's, in my opinion, not a very good level of difficulty. It basically takes away from the PVP aspects; always getting killed my a mob, rather than a player, and sometimes getting swarmed so fast, you never even see, or fight another player.

All in all, I don't think mobs are an appropriate add-on for the MCSG servers, sorry.

Why would this cause anymore lag than the passive mobs spawning? Mobs spawning do not cause lag, if they did you wouldn't be able to play any form of mine craft including peaceful since even mobs spawn on that.

I think it would be neat to have maybe a couple servers that have hostile mobs, like maybe a 24 person server and a 48 person server. I wouldn't enjoy all of the servers having hostile mobs spawn just because it takes out some of the PVP, but it would make it more interesting especially with the tier 2's being in dark places occasionally.

I would love the idea of Mobs coming back, but they should really be nerfed. My Idea is that they are allowed to spawn when it's 20 minutes left, and only a few then. Maybe one Creeper here, one Skeleton there, two Zombies 10 blocks over there... With this, it won't be an insta-kill, since almost everyone should be equipped from then (Unless some players, but there's no hope for them anyways :p)

I think dogs are too OP. They can easily decide a fight, because it's like fighting as a team or against a team. And definitely no mobs, because on the darker maps like SG2 they were just too common. Maybe if they could spawn anywhere only at nighttime, and not be there during the beginning of the game, I would be willing to bring mobs back.

SG should be PvE not PvP, I agree. But it could do without the creepers, one hit KOs were annoying in decent chain/iron.

I don't think it would cause lag, because right now the mobs do actually spawn but they are immediately despawned so that they aren't in the game. They really aren't there. But I think that also causes the same amount of lag that it causes to keep them there. Not sure about this, because it's just an assumption :p

SG should be both PvE and PvP in my opinion, a bit of both. But I think it's really annoying when the game just started, you run to your route on one of the darker maps and there are mobs covering the landscape already. I think mobs should only spawn at like the 10 minute point, like Tal_Pal said. That makes it so you have the chance to get some decent gear, and then after that you have a bit more of a challenge.

PvE and PvP? Player vs everything means player vs EVERYTHING, not Player vs Mobs (PvM?)

PvE is Player VS Enemy or Player VS Environment or Player VS Entity. It can be any of those things. Player VS Everything doesn't exist, and if it did it would be completely useless.
