My new laptop came with Windows 8.

First thing I did was downgrade to Windows 7

Like what XxGagaxX said If you get a really good mac they can be good for basically everything. My dad got a good mac and I play at 160 fps with all the fancy blah blah blah settings on.

Wow, way to ask such a hard question. And regardless of which you pick, it will never be "better" than the others. This question is completely based on personal preference. Whatever we say should make no difference. You pick the one that you like the best, not what we say. I know this wasn't a question asking which one you wanted, but I had to answer.

Mac and Windows are both great computers.
Having been using a mac for 1 year when I started MCSG: it was great, but not as good a gaming computer as windows.

Also, when it comes to viruses, Mac gets them. There are many mac viruses surfacing, some alone infecting 500,000 macs. You typically only get viruses on Windows if you're clumsy with your downloading and searching. I've had mine for 6 months with no anti v and haven't had a problem.
