Applications under all circumstances should be based on the application itself, not on popularity. My question: How would you pick the contestants? If you pick person A, B, and C, someone might argue that person D is more popular than person B or person C, and thus should have been picked. There's an enormous amount of issues with this. Even picking candidates based on who has the best application can be tough, and interviewing each candidate probably just isn't worth it, as it would take way too long.
Well for the one I suggested, helping out your team by competing in challenges and voting members off. What type of things would you do as a part of the game show? Just curious as to what kind of ideas you have.
And Feature Suggestions is used for any kind of suggestion, this would be fine there.
To sort out your problem, you could just post "sign up" and people would try to group the teams as fairly as they can. Also, popularity doesn't matter in gameshows, it's more the participation. If you are constantly participating, you are more likely to win than someone else that;s barely doing anything. My question: How would you pick the contestants? Not really, mods would just have to put a category at the bottom, add some membergroups and boards, it's actually not as difficult as people think. For the suggestion, I like the idea, but it would be hard to construct on MCSG.
"Fairly" doesn't really exist in things like this. And what I meant wasn't winning, it was getting accepted/into the gameshow. To sort out your problem, you could just post "sign up" and people would try to group the teams as fairly as they can. Of course, if too many people sign up, then that's when you would need to post applications, and hopefully the host wouldn't be biased about picking people.
I know that, I posted about the winning thing to prove that popularity has very little to do with things."Fairly" doesn't really exist in things like this. And what I meant wasn't winning, it was getting accepted/into the gameshow.
:/There was a thread like this called MCSG survivor a few months ago. The teams were picked but nothing came of it.
