How did MCSG even start?

Why does it always come down to Chad versus Vareide? I'd seriously like to see these two 1v1 someday because they both rarely play (or record) their own games anymore. :/

TL;DR : Hunger Games (movie) came out ---> Variede made SG1 ---> ihascupquake organized a game with youtubers ---> People liked it ---> Chad & his friends made a plug-in so other people could play for themselves.
