If you think the problem is 1.7.4 optifine, uninstall it for a few games and see if you don't get lag spikes as much anymore.

No, it doesn't close, I have to close it myself and open it up again to get the lag to stop. And sometimes, it won't get back to normal until I restart my computer.Any errors when the game closes? Sounds like you used up all your RAM when minecraft is running
I get that to!Now here's the problem I'm getting:
;-; That's awful. Maybe it is time to get a new graphics card, our new comp. As for the fps drops, (Using W7) I would do CTRL+ALT+DEL and go to task manager. Then go to apps or where ever and right-click on the java file. Go to priority and make it High. Otherwise, I dunno what to do.Now here's the problem I'm getting:
I got the issue the other day on SG2 so I changed my texture pack in-game and it stopped for a while; but then I started getting what you see in the video I posted, which also causes the FPS to drop. I will try not using optifine, but for now I'm going to try using 1.7.2 optifine. It never started until 1.7.4.I was going to post here earlier, but I got stuck staring at Leon|TheBluemeerkat's signature and then had to go after 5 or so minutes.
Is it a Texture/Resource pack issue, or something with one of your settings? I normally run 100+ FPS easily on decent settings, but when there's a lot of entities nearby, such as from a TNT explosion, it drops to like 15 and stutters. Perhaps it's a similar case?
