I for one do not see where this comes in. Most people do not donate to the server simply for the factions server.

I find factions in moderation to be quite fun, but in this situation it seems to have been driven too deep. Overall, factions lead to be just poison that spreads through the community. Though there is some happiness and pleasure being taken from it, the general feel I get from every faction server is hate. Lots and lots of hate. It became a breeding ground for animosity. We really don't need that in a community that already seems to be up at arms over everything.


In fact, there are several examples of what this malice is like on this thread. I'm not linking cause and effect from the server to the forums, necessarily, but I am saying that some people were incising and gratuitously rude on the server in a massive amount and it is comparable to some actions on the forums.

But you haven't even played factions, or at least the way it should be played, so personally I find what some of what your saying to be ignorant. And I'm not talking about this server as in money, but PLENTY of others are blatantly making a nice cash flow. Also, faction servers shouldn't have any moderation besides catching hackers, and maybe spam. Moderation ruins factions AND its just like war, you either are cool with someone, not cool with someone, or neutral with someone. If you aren't mentally stable enough to play it and will cry if you lose, than don't play factions. It isn't faction's fault, its the immaturity of people who feel that nothing should happen to them on a FACTIONS server. Everyone seems to live in this unrealistic world in which everything should be perfect and if you die with your stuff than you should get it back... but that's not how life works. =Rant Over=

Most games go overboard on competitiveness, causing problems. Also, it's not just a game, it's a community. And it's also life.
