I'm an agnostic.

Basically, you don't support any religion, but you don't go against any religion, so you're basically neutral. The difference between an agnostic and an atheist, is that an atheist strongly believes that there's no God, while an agnostic simply doesn't care about there being a God or not.
Is there a name for someone who doesn't really care? For me, it seems like the world is so busy and there's too much to worry about with our system of life that humans have created. How will believing in a god help me at all with real life? Is there a word for me, the people who just think it doesn't matter? I don't know, my whole family is like that, too much to worry about, no time for religion or non-religion.
Agnostic, welcome to the club.

Before I say anything, let me just say that I respect all religions, unless they cause harm to people.

I don't have a religion. I won't explain my reasonings because I don't want to question peoples' beliefs.

Almost the exact same thing and I'm too lazy to write it over again myself.

Hey, hey. Calm down.
The tread made it this far without any real sparks flying, lets keep it that way, no?
I do understand your point of view, so Its not like anyone's ganging up on you or anything

And JS, I assure you that I am in no way calling your beliefs invalid or wrong, so please don't take offense.
If you had simply said 'I believe that...' at the beginning of your post, there would be no tensions rising.
You should really have toned it down a tiny bit, as you insinuate that your own belief is the 'Truth' and that others are 'wrong'.
In this sort of subject, there is no right or wrong answer, as nobody can truly prove their theory, and neither can they disprove others. It is impossible to present evidence that God does exist, and neither is it possible to prove that he doesn't. Ergo, everyone has the right to believe in whatever they desire to, and should not be excluded, punished or shunned for that.
Wasn't annoyed just pointing something out.

I would like to ask a question and could someone who is religous answer me :)
Why do you belive that the universe couldn't have just have always been around when you believe that God has alway existed? I have never understood the argument for god on that one and it would be great if someone could explain it.

I believe in the message most religious figures convey, but I do not literally believe...

Most religious beliefs push for love and peace and harmony in the world. These things are what I like about religions. However, some certain religions are against these things in a way, by denying certain people. I dislike the fact that several times people are forced into depression/suicide/just feeling bad by some religions practically telling them that they are evil.

Also the animosity between religious groups and other groups or against atheist is, at this time, kind of redundant. The forcing of your own religion or beliefs onto others is a very passé. It made sense in the time of kingdoms, but outright hate towards other beliefs is now nonsensical, since it doesn't mean the continuation of the existence of your king and kingdom or entire government structure.

So I like religion when it isn't a negative force. Please don't affiliate with negative forces towards others. Get along with each other as much as possible :D

Also I'm getting a kick out of all the people who are confusing agnosticism and antagonism. Very different things.

Personally, Diest. I've never gotten why so many people believe in god, and the REALLY religious people say "GO TO HELL IF UR ATHIEST UR SUMTHING LIKE THAT" When really if they say stuff like that, THEYRE the ones that should go to hell. If it does exist. But really, there's no scientific evidence if god, or anything in that matter exists. I just think that Human philosophy gets stretched overtime to create religions, which I just find to be whack. Like remember that game called "Telephone" when you were five, when you had to spread the message and the last person says what they hear? I think that's how religions form, nothing like the coming of jesus or any other thing from any other religion exists for happened. Really I just find religion pointless. People take their religion from their parents. I feel bad anyone that goes to church at all.

I'm a christian, not just because it's comforting or anything, it just makes sense to me. I look at everything amazing in the world and think that there is a very very small chance that something that extraordinary could be created by chance, or evolution.

Personally, I dont beleive in any higher being. Unlike @billyguy1 I think things like chance and evolution actually do play all the roles in how/why we got here.

Well on the flipside, I don't feel bad about going to church at all, it's not even a burden. I feel bad for people that are nonreligious, because I feel that it's like there's something missing in their life, even if they don't realize it. There actually is evidence of Jesus existing and being crucified, it's in Roman records. I'm not really one of the people that takes religion from their parents. I truly do think the way I do.
