Yes. But the network and the computers on it have no problem connecting to other servers.

im having this same problem.. it jsut keeps saying polling

Try going to your minecraft directory and replacing the servers.dat with this, but copy your current one somewhere else so that you still have a copy of it. Then try connecting.

That didnt work for me either it just kept on connecting until it timed out.
