Teweran actually won't be making maps here either. Both Vareide and Teweran will be submitting all their maps exclusively to the Hive. Simple as that, they've already added Revamped versions of Teweran 1 and 2.

I heard that sg6 is going to be the same size as sg4 and will be medi evel times. IDC really if its added. Our comunity are better at building maps than Team Vareide!

Honestly, the Team Vareide maps weren't the best. They have awesome builders and have so much potential to make amazing maps, but they just... don't. They're not the best at understanding how to mix great buildings, terraforming and making the maps fun to play on.

This post just sums up everything I have on my mind.

Lets face it, Team Vareide has OKAY maps at best. Could I build any of the stuff they do? No. But, with the amount of amazing builders they have, I honestly should expect something amazing rather than being half disappointed when I play.

Also, I'm coming to a hypothesis that Team Vareide is going to be be what I like to call, "The Horror Movie Affect."

For those of you who have absolutely no idea what I'm talking about, let me explain. Have you watched a really good horror movie, that actually scared you pretty good and you'd like to see a sequel? Then the sequel comes out, and it didn't get you as good, and you're satisfied with the series. But like idiots, the directors keep making more, and more, and more, and more movie sequels until all of the movies plain suck. (Examples, Jason series, Nightmare on Elmstreet, SAW) Team Vareide has been going down in quality with their maps, and SG6 better be something amazing before it's time to throw it in the bag.

In my opinion, the community maps will make a fine replacement. I think I heard Teweran left, which actually in my eyes is gonna be more of an impact than Vareide was. Those guys were some damn good map builders. But I think if we got another really good build team, and of course with the regular community maps, we'd do perfectly fine without his maps.

If anything it'll make these servers quieter so I can play more games of MCSG Really IMO I couldn't care less about Variede leaving, all he's going to do is make maps for the hive. It's not like they don't need the maps, they only have, what 5, 6 maps? We have loads and more are submitted every day. Anyway, some times I play on the Hive and it's frickin impossible to get on their servers. Imagine what it would be like with the people coming for Sg6? I don't see it lasting very long.

Matt , you made a really good point MCSG will always be THE original. No matter what the hive does , MCSG will still be more well known and more popular. I just can't treat the hive more than just another bad hunger games server , even if it is better than all of the others. To me it's just like skitscapes.

The difference is :
The hive has celebrity endorsement.
MCSG has everything else , including a good community.

I have a very biased point of view here, but Team Elite is definitely a team to watch out for.

I've already stated my opinion on that: TeamElite are good but lack the imagination needed to be great.
Same goes for TeamVariede. But Teweran excels above both teams.

Not to defend the competitor, which is "frowned upon" but the problem the Hive has with people joining is going to be fixed when the US Hive is released and more servers are added.

And yes, I do think sg6 will be a problem, if it is good. But even if the map isn't amazing, when the sg6 event happens with all the YouTube celebrities, all the fans would want to play the map and go to the Hive

Yes, they were offered VIP on the Hive if their next maps were Hive-exclusive and felt it would be better than here.
