We made this thread as part of a greater movement for more transparency among the staff, yet it's clear to me that this topic is spiraling out of control (both on topic and off). The circulation of false information and personal opinion veiled as facts (from both innocent and suspected parties) is detrimental both to the investigation and the community's understanding of the situation. We will keep this thread here for reference and to post updates, but know that not everything posted here by players or uninvolved staff is entirely truthful nor unbiased.

Until then, we will proceed with the investigation. We hear your voices and what you have to say, but this is a delicate situation which, while proving to be incredibly frustrating, is necessarily difficult. We are doing the best we can with what we have, but there's no way to avoid such transitional pain. We ask for your patience and understanding. Any further attempts at instilling drama or delving into the situation will be dealt with swiftly, as we do not want this fire to be needlessly stoked anymore. The staff is working as quickly as we can to accomplish a difficult task, but it is not helped by having to moderate internal fallout-drama as well.

An official statement is forthcoming, and any further developments will be updated here.

I am pleased to announce that the first batch of players under investigation have been found not guilty of their charges. These players were a group of MCSG moderators, whom conducted themselves as requested by the investigation team. Thanks to a lack of incriminating evidence and some honest testimony in support of them, these moderators have had their positions reinstated and their membership restored.

They're back on the servers watching for hackers as we speak. We thank them for their patience.
A verdict on the next batch of players is soon to follow.

The second and final batch of players under investigation have been found not guilty of their charges. These people have been unbanned and their accounts have been restored. We thank them for their patience, and apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Furthermore, the individuals whom we've deemed guilty have been spoken to, the evidence has been shown to them, and they have been allowed to make their claims against us. They will be missed, but the offenses that they've been found guilty of are irredeemable. We ask that they are not hunted, pestered, or abused by any members of MCSG, and are allowed to live out their ban in isolation.

Lastly, the Investigation Team has decided that the official statement is going to be given verbally via TeamSpeak. Another forum post will be made for people to field any questions they may have. This will allow us to anticipate the questions that the majority of the community population have. Times and Dates are forthcoming.

The official time and date for the Q&A session is as follows:
6/22/2013 at noon PST. Event Time Converter. It is estimated to take under two hours.

It will be held on a custom channel on our TeamSpeak server.
If you wish to ask a question, we ask that you send it to us ahead of time so that we know which questions to answer first. After we have briefed everyone on a full description of what occured, we will answer the submitted questions that were most common. Afterwards, there is planned to be a short impromptu Q&A session for questions that were not submitted.
You may submit questions for the first round of Q&A here.
