staff took up the first page and a half on this thread

We don't tell staff to "go spam this new announcement with positivity!", despite popular belief. Large announcements like this are broadcast to the entire staff team when they are posted to spread awareness faster, which is why staff usually get the first page or so of replies on the thread.

I see people complaining that 1.9 will be bad. But we aren't removing 1.7/1.8 which means all the PvP updates, won't be apart of the game, as it isn't available to 1.7/1.8 so basically nothing with our SG gametypes will change. We're just adding the 1.9 option to play the game.
The only games that will really change in the future are the current 1.8 only to be changed to 1.9. (Survival Bingo, UHC etc.)
So basically all in all I don't see a lot of it changing tbh.



And we don't force the staff to "Act all Happy" btw, it's all their own opinion

But yeh all in all, I think it will be good, allows the players more options on the server and allows our server to grow more.
The server will have to update at some point so why not now?

How could you honestly think this is a good idea? "Combat Update," sure, but do you really think shields and having to wait a few whole seconds to hit someone is going to help the server? Can you not see that half of the non mods that posted on this thread have disagreed with this decision? Don't only do what you and the mods want. There are other people on the server too.

Please note that Ava specifically stated that we will not drop 1.7/1.8 support. The new features like dual wielding, hit delay and all that won't be a thing since 1.7/1.8 doesn't have those features. If you play on 1.7/1.8 then nothing should change
