1.8 2D items

Are you using Optifine with 1.8? If not, it could be possible that Minecraft is incapable of display the RP properly due to it not being in the native resolution of 16x16. If you do have Optifine it may well be a glitch with the preview version.

I suggest trying a clean version of 1.8 and seeing if the problem persists.

You may be correct since I can only use default edits with out the problem. I'll just be on 1.7 until either Optifine fixes this problem, or until someone finds a solution.
