Floating Mountains Map Idea

I am Hoping to make a map of my own in the near future my theme might be floating mountains such as those in the movie avatar with temples and fortresses built into the sides. As well as the mountains themselves there will be airships and balloons etc. On the ground I will have a small village surrounded by a jungle with structures of it's own and possibly something underground ie sewers or a Mine.

I could also have villagers in a black market with trades for emeralds and various othe items around the map. The jungle will be slightly less dense than a regular jungle biome to stop people from hiding in trees it will also have large trees and be full of secrets.

But surely if it was floating you could just take high ground and knock people of really easily? I think that would be to easy for some people.

True I will have to think about think about that. I could have vines and a few lakes on the ground

But what would you do when your on the ground after falling?

the points where u can climb up.. will be heavily guarded.. so they can knock everybody off again

Not to sure as I said there will be other things on the ground like a village and I will add a way back up this is just an idea for now when I get back from holiday I might start work on it but I can't for now

The cornucopia would be on a large mountain with a hollow area in the middle I will start work on some designs and try and make it creative but as balenced as possible

I will also try to make the ground a place that people at likely to go as well as the mountains with hidden areas

I think this is a pretty good idea. But i don't think the airships are though. I'm the only one (so far) who voted for yes!

i gave it a like! i think its awesome. also to solve the getting back up problem just make a ladder up that goes 2 or more blocks high off the floating islands base level into an enclosed tower so once they get on the rim of the tower they jump down onto the floating island they will JUMP not climb down a ladder on the other side of the tower (the outside of it) so ppl who were on the base level couldnt get into the tower. then it could still be heavily guarded but ppl couldnt knock ppl back down
