Maybe there would be less complaining, however there would still be an onslaught of spam, insults, and personal attacks to deal with. In the end, this is a smarter choice, in my opinion.

I wanted to clarify as this rumor flooded faster before we can put an announcement on it. I wanted to share that the survival server itself isn't closing yet having it be a factions server may change. We been dealing with a lot of issues related to that server because on how heated the gameplay is and personally, I decided to close it to review everything on it. Trying to keep factions family friendly doesn't work period...again reason why we are reviewing it.

Adding: we will post some community announcements shortly later tonight to get more opinions about this. Yet, I actually been wanting to do a survival style server that has never been done before. You all might like this instead and details soon.

We understand that ALOT of people put tons of time on it. If we do indeed close the server for factions, we will release the map to download it so you can continue it elsewhere.

Again, do you think the staff want to deal with a whole ton of spam and personal attacks? You, and everyone for that matter, cant always think about themselves. Think of the trouble staff would have should they of done it a different way. Complaining you lost your base is, quite frankly, selfish.

well i didn't have a base at the time, as I was raided recently. I am thinking about the others who did, which just happens to be the opposite of selfish. Also, all it needed was a statement from chad like the one he just posted. Bottom line is, there would be backlash anyway, but that is they way it goes. I am not going to argue with you anymore. No need for a flamewar.

Just a personal recommendation, but if you want a more peaceful version of factions, go with Towny.

Towny was suggested, but we still have our concerns that we would face a similar situation. Again, Chad has an idea of something he wants to instate, and we're excited to see it through.
