I'm not "known" by many in this clan. I'm still trying my hardest even if I do get denied, I'll work hard, and try again another day, or if I don't feel this clan is for me, then I'll try another clan. Nothing will get done without "trying", if you really think that just because you're not "FAMOUS!" then you won't get in, think again. Clans aren't about "famous people" and things like that, they're about coming together as a team, and working to compete and have fun. Not only do I not agree with this, I strongly disagree with it.
I could say so many things to this, all of which would start flame
If you could elaborate on what defines "randies" in your context, that'd be useful.

Chances are given where chances are needed. I don't agree with your statement, however I appreciate the opinion. I'll leave my acceptance system be as the clan is coming along quite nicely. :)
I just want to recommend you rethink the application to member process.

ProfessorRetro The application process is not at all based on people being 'famous'. Honestly, I, and I believe the rest of the clan would agree, couldn't care less whether or not an applicant was famous. Everybody is given an equal opportunity to get into the clan, and nobody is given an edge based upon their rank or level of fame. If you look through the past applications, you will see many big name applicants, with lots of wins, moderator rank, or other signatures of 'fame' passed over in favor of people who, even though they may lack this 'fame', get along well with the clan.

The way the application system at Sector Six works ensures that the only people who are accepted into the clan are those who get along well with EVERYONE else in the clan. By taking the opinion of every individual member into account, we can ensure that the clan functions smoothly and efficiently, with the ability to form strong friendships and work together incredibly well as a team.

Everybody is given an equal chance to be in the clan, but they have to deserve it. They have to be friendly, to be active, to be patient, to be reasonably skilled at PvP, and, most of all, to form real friendships with the members of the clan. A trial member period, at least in my opinion, would do nothing to improve the system, as we want to gauge what kind of a person you are at all times, not just when you are on the cusp of being accepted or denied. If all the members of the clan like the applicant, they will be accepted, and if not, they will be denied. It may sound harsh, but that process has kept this clan running smoothly, and has allowed for a level of success unmatched by other application processes.

Before joining this clan, I had not talked to many of the players on the roster for more than a few words. I knew who they were but not much more than that. When voting on them, I came in with no preconceptions of their character, but rather formed those ideas from experiences I shared with them, and I ended up making great friends. This was possible because they kept coming on TS day after day, being funny, friendly, and generally likeable people. They fit the criteria I look for in voting, and many of them eventually made it into the clan.

To conclude, everyone has a chance. I know I've rambled on a lot of different topics in this post, but that's the idea I really want to end on. Every applicant has an equal opportunity to make a positive impression on the members of the clan and make it into the team, regardless of fame. If you feel as if you are unable to make that impression, or that you just don't fit in with the members of the clan, then the truth is that this clan might not be the clan for you.

To anyone applying: If you wish to join the clan, even if your application has not been responded to, feel free. Every member of this clan is willing to change their opinion on an applicant if they are given reason to, and, if you can provide that reason, then you have a good chance of getting in.

Good luck to all the applicants, both current and future, and I hope you can find a clan to truly call home.

I would like to say that I spend a lot of my time that I'm online talking to potential members. I'm sure most of the people who have applied and who come on our teamspeak have played at least one game with me (I know I played with you). As for we only accept famous people. I didn't know who Sixorr or Maddy was (no offence Sixorr and Maddy I love you guys <3 ) and they got in because they showed their skill and their maturity.

I know I don't put my vote in until I have played a game with the applicant. I'm sure everyone else in the clan dose the same. To anyone who is thinking or has appled poke me on teamspeak I will play with you.

the problem with this is exactly what you say. retro left because he felt that no one enjoyed his company, and he was never really talked to by the members. plenty of people disliked retro before they met him and knew him, never really giving him a chance to have conversations with members and putting in his personality with everyone

There is a person named John.
I don't like John because he consumed my hotdog while I wasn't looking.
We get into arguments now over what happened to the hotdog.
We don't speak to each other anymore.
No more arguments.
Profit.

Maybe John was right and didn't actually eat the hotdog.
Maybe I am right because I know he ate it!

They both insist they are correct. Instead of continuing to argue, they don't interact with each other. Instead, they interact with individuals who they enjoy.

Edit: Yeah, I need to finish up this schoolwork and get some sleep.

i guess you're agreeing with me? anyway, i know plenty of people who disliked retro simply because they were around others who disliked him. i personally don't dislike anyone (debatable) because only meeting someone on the internet is not sufficient to dislike them
