Hello everyone!
Background:
So my name is SlavTheRussian. Many of you guys might not know me but ever since I joined the MCSG Network I had a dream of playing against some of the best pvper's in the world. But since most of the "good" people played and practiced against each other, I never had the chance to show my skills or improve my self. So I started looking for a tournament that I might have a chance to partake in but I usually got denied because of low wins or my lack of a YouTube community (had low subs). So I decided to create this thread to give people a chance to show off their skills and maybe earn some MCSG rep. There is no need to record. There is no need for you to explain why you want to be in the tourney. All you have to do is sign up your team (instructions will be below) and wait for me to contact you guys and maybe tell a friend to do the same.
Important (must read):
This tourney will start on January 13,2014 - January 18,2014 with finals being on Saturday. We are hoping for at least 32 teams to partake. This will be a 3v3 tournament so you will need two other people. There will be subs if needed. This tourney will be run by me and a team of mods that I have asked to help and since many of you guys have other things to attend to, the tourney will be going on during the week. This tournament there will not be a consolation since this is beta, but in future tourneys there will be consolations. So if you lose first round I am sorry but you are out in the beta whereas in the real version if you lose first round you will be moved to a separate losers bracket where you will have a chance to fight and battle for the 3rd spot.
How to Register Your Team (must read):
In order to register your team must appoint a captain and the captain must reply to this thread and follow the format below -
Team Name (make sure its in bold and keep it appropriate)
Captain - (IGN)
If you have any questions please ask down below and I will update the thread if needed. Please don’t ask stupid questions.
Reward if you win:
Since this is the very first beta test tournament there will not be a price is winning unless I can get the reward approved by ChadTheDJ before we start the tournament. I am hoping to have a new rank set up on MCSG called Victor. Since I am hoping to set this up to happen every month, I think having that rank would be beneficial. Look at the picture below to see what I am talking about (I used photoshop to edit it).

- Clans are welcome to break themselves up into smaller units and partake but keep in mind that you might have to fight each other in the first round.
- Please be courteous and don’t involve #Clans in the chat because this has nothing to do with the clans.
- Please keep your anger or rage to your self if you have been killed (even if you think the person that killed you is hacking).
- Remember mods will be spectating the players.
- You are allowed to sponsor your teammates when you die but please don’t bounty.
- This whole tourney will be on the US MCSG servers so please don’t ask for IP and don't complain about the lag.
- If you have any questions please reply to this thread and I will update the thread.
- Also keep in mind that you will be fighting the other team not alone but also with randoms so please don’t tell your friends to join and help you. If you are found getting help from randoms, you will be automatically disqualified and the other team moves on.
- You are allowed but not encouraged to have your friends spectate you. The reason for this rule is we don’t want locations or status of the other team be given away so please.
- You guys are encouraged to use teamspeak and if needed be moved in a private channel with a mod whose mic will be muted. If you choose to use skype you will be asked to add a mod whose mic will be muted to the call in order to enforce the rule of no outside help.
- If you participate in this tournament, you will not be allowed to participate in the next one. So you can partake in every other one that way we can have more people try this. Now since this is beta this tourney will not affect you so you will be able to apply for next tourney.
