Ermm if they are not used in multiplayer than that shouldn't matter as you can use multiple profiles. Unless of course you mean optifine.

If dropping 1.6 makes the core gameplay better, then it is worth dropping it in my eyes. As much as I feel for those who are at a disadvantage on their current computers, I care more about seeing the game work its best for the 95% who can update without issue.

Furthermore, optifine not being updated obviously has nothing to do with us. It is the fault of the optifine develeopers and could also be blamed on 1.7's needlessly over-complicated code. There are things we can do to alleviate this for our players (dual-support) but in the end I don't think it is our responsibility to help provide a mod that we don't develop when it comes at the cost of our own stability.

Just an update, we're trying an update to our dual protocol support tonight to see if it alleviates any of the issues.

no forairan, we need 1.7 only now!!! The rubber band effect must end!!!! Enough with dual support, make it 1.7 only, and start working on MCTF2 again.

I only have one problem with switching.... I lag more on 1.7 then 1.6. One important factor... Optifine. So... one request. Please do not update till optifine comes out for 1.7.

In all seriousness, we'd rather be stable on 1.7 only than have random disconnections and lag, making the game nearly unplayable, with both 1.6/1.7 support.

Foraria, but some people have a piece of #!?@ computer, and we play in 1.6.x, because we have OptiFine, and we don't have lag, please, don't remove 1.6.x
