1.6 and 1.7

I've noticed that other server networks have updated to 1.7, but still support 1.6 clients. Can this be done with MCSG?

The reason I'm saying this is because many people, including myself, need Optifine in order to play at a reasonable frame rate. Sadly, Optifine may not be updated for a while. If MCSG were to be updated to only support 1.7 clients, then many people will be unable to play.

At the moment, I am forced to play on the US servers, because CA has been updated to 1.7, but does not allow 1.6 clients.

I know, I would be playing CA if I could. Sadly, I need my optifine so I play on US on 1.6.4. I don't know what I'll do when US gets updated...

You actually don't need OF for 1.7, it has major performance upgrades.

Do you think I haven't tried? The improvements were probably minimal because I don't notice them at all. I still need optifine in order to play.
