I was looking around for news about the new update because I'm too lazy to download it before MCSG updates, and I found this curious video about the new sprint function, and how macs have a HUGE, I mean, HUGE advantage over PC users in regards to PvP and sprinting.
(watch the WHOLE video)
Alright, so what exactly does this mean for PvP and MCSG in general?
Well, it means MAC users will very scary. You might be thinking, "why doesn't MCSG just outlaw that function?" Well, it's not that easy. Even if they do outlaw it, there will always be a way to say that you were just holding down shift, and not pressing caps lock once. Plus, it's inside minecraft, there's nothing anybody but Mojang can do about it.
So.. what does this mean for BSM bans?
Honestly, I don't know; I would guess that BSM couldn't be detected anymore. Watching that video, the new update seems like a carbon-copy of BSM. We're going to need some moderator input here, but honestly, I don't see how it could be detected.
