As you may or may not already know, the Minecraft 1.7 pre-release was released today, with an anticipated full release date of Friday, October 25, 2013. 1.7 is dubbed as "the update that changed the world" by Mojang, and for good reason too - not only does the update completely change world generation by almost doubling the amount of biomes, it also changes a lot of things "under the hood" with the way Minecraft works.
Unfortunately, because of one of those very large "under the hood" changes in 1.7 (to be specific, a complete rewrite of the networking engine), we will not be able to update to Minecraft 1.7 right away. We will be updating as soon as a stable CraftBukkit/Spigot build is out.
If you want to downgrade back to 1.6.4 after updating so you can continue to play on our system, just follow these steps.
- Open your Minecraft Launcher.
- Click the "Edit Profile" button.
- Select "release 1.6.4" from the list.
- You're done! Use the same process to upgrade to 1.7 once we upgrade.
