Fps lag.

Today, while trying to play mcsg i've only been able to get up to 20 fps, however when I usually play I get upwards of 200. I've checked my background process and found nothing. Any ideas as to why this is happening?

Can't be server lag. I'm only getting 30 fps in singleplayer.

I'ts your computer. As previously said, make sure to clean your computer, by clearing the cache and stuff that can make your computer faster —Or in this case Minecraft.

Yup. I use onyx and ccleaner for mac.

Well, it got me to an average of 50 fps, but 200 is still a long ways away.

I would be so happy if I could average 50 fps. :/
At least that's better than 20. But it's probably some other issue that's causing it to be so much lower than normal.

Did you restart your computer? I know, too simple. But it works for many problems. You said you checked background processes and found nothing, so this is kind of surprising to me. How full is your hard drive?
