Why is optifine capes so popular?

People enjoy them so much because they allow for infinite customization (colors of course) for a cheap price, that many people will see, considering the vast majority of people that play on Mcsg use Optifine

Because Optifine is a great mod. Before I got this computer I had to play on a laptop with no dedicated graphics card. I averaged 5-15 FPS on Tiny render distance and lowest settings. When I downloaded Optifine it actually made Minecraft "playable" for a very long time. The least I can do to say thanks is donate $10 and get an awesome cape.

I don't have an optifine cape because I don't liek them. It's all personal preference really. And... Spending 10 bucks for one.

I had a optifie cape then i got my minecon cape but my minecon cape doesnt work with 1.6 and I can't get my optifine cpae back but te optifine cape is cool because you can customize it but the minecon cape shows that you are a pro minecraftian.
