Why is optifine capes so popular?

Well , 30% of the people that got the OFFICIAL cape of OptiFine is to support the creator's work , people that play SG have it the most cause they use OptiFine a LOT , I mean a LOT , to find chests , traps etc. etc. , now the other 70% is cause they want to have #Swagz , but I personally don't like the cape so I don't wear it :3
