1. Team Variede was still making maps for MCSG
2. Lots of noobs were not complaining about how much the chest update 'sucks' just because it makes the game more difficult.
3. Better community (This is bound to happen with all communities, the more it grows, the larger amount of immature players join. Back in the day MCSG was smaller so it consisted mostly of the more devoted and mature players.)
Can't agree more then that. :3

Back then Staff actually did there job. I remember back in Beta when I saw a mod every lobby I joined, they were so much more reliable, and did a lot more for the community.

There used to be less than 50 US servers. We now have a grand total of 412 servers, with about 120 mods who cannot be online 24/7. Considering how much complaining there is about the quality of the staff, I don't think you would appreciate having over 1500 mods so that we could have at least one in every single server at any given time.

In addition, 99.9% of us actually do our jobs, and it would be appreciated if we weren't lumped into one big group because of some decisions you disagree with.

When I was a non-donor and I had to refresh the server list menu all the time and quickly join when it said clean-up to get into a game

That was better? XD

They did a lot more? Now the staff has to handle so many more players, new, more difficult to catch hacks, constant complaints, the hub, and tons of mod apps. And back then, were there Dev Q&A's? Your statement is rude, biased, and uneducated.

You have a good point, but I also mean that the staff back then were more friendly, lots of them are still great now, but they used to interact with players they have never seen before, I rarely see that from any mod nowadays.
