Adopt a new player!

New player application (must join under 2 months ago) : I have like 2 days :C
What I need help in : I think everything ... but mainly killing people :O! I have a great luck or whatever to keep alive until deathmatch... I´ve come in 2nd or 3rd place on like 60% of the games I´ve played but I don´t have any kills :C I always lose in face to face combat

While I can't help you in-game or anything ATM, here's some tips for face-to-face combat:
Strafe (Get behind or to the side of the opponent) - If you can pull it off right, then they'll have to turn around more and won't be able to hit you much.
Block-hitting - If you can't strafe properly, just learn to block-hit. There's lots of tutorials on youtube and whatnot, so I won't go into detail.
Watch some videos of professional PVP'ers. Don't watch a ton, just enough to get an idea of how they fight. Try to copy them somewhat, perhaps. Remember - Not everyone can pull off what they do. Sometimes they use a special mouse/keyboard.
If you're heavily outgunned, either in armor or weapons, lure the opponent to another person. Those two might fight, and you can come in after they're done and finish off the last one. Just don't let them run away and regenerate health. Or you can try and bring them to a trap of sorts, and get them that way.

Thank you very much I'm gonna go see those videos and try the tips you told me. Btw I think the problem is that I use the laptop mouse and It a little bit more difficult to manage , so I just order a mouse so I can move freely .

I've only been playing because I watched MCFinest and that's only been for about 3 months on and off... I'd round it up to around 1 month total considering how much time I take off ;p I usually play with my 9 year old sister too... and we suck at it. Had about 3 wins [yes, please pelt me with raw chicken or potatoes or whatever] so yeah..
I'm not that noobish that I can't submit an avvie... it just isn't uploading xD.
