I joined around these "Golden days," and I can say that what this guy did was clever. Most people don't even think to use a bow as self-defense when they don't have a sword. Or maybe I'm just saying this because I sucked during the golden ages.

If he beat you, then he's more skilled than you. If you think the tactic is cheap / easy / requires no skill, then why don't you use it? I'm of the opinion that any tactic that works is a valid one, and if he was able to kill you with this tactic, then it's obviously a good one. So please, stop whining and adapt.

If he beat you, then he's more skilled than you. If you think the tactic is cheap / easy / requires no skill, then why don't you use it? Just because a person kills you once absolutely does not mean they are more skilled. And pretty much everyone else who plays competitive games and has a functional brain would agree with that.

This is very true. But in the situation you described he acted more skillfully than you did.
