I have to say something, what I think is important. Lately, me and a few other people found that people are doing something, which is rather rude. Let me explain. When someone leaves every flames the thread with, "Nobody cares!" "Lol noob no one cares" then if blamph leaves "Omg D: no don't go!" "Why! Don't leave us!" How do you think the first person would feel is you say that thread? My guess he'll feel rather sad, and feel like nobody cares about him, which could lead up to deprission problems, un-able to make friends, you could of ruined his whole life by typing those two words.

Example:

fatmannumbah8: I'm leaving the community bye.
KungFuCupcake: No one cares!
EpicAlpha64: Noob
billyguy1: bai, (no one really cares)
duckluv321: Bye have a great time

ThatOneTomahawk: I'm leaving.
Le0: No why! D:
Blamph: Nooo We'll all miss you.
Arena Master: No please don't leave!
fatmannumbah8: No one cares
torchscar: Wow fatman everyone cares.
BlitzcometITU: Everycares! Goml
Kingredon: my cat is labor ._.

So if I say that I wouldn't personally be crushed but you never know, some people will be crushed.

Please think before you type!

Agreed. Same thing happened to me on a well-known person's goodbye thread. Basically, I said that "No one cares", as a joke to the leaving person, and was told "Why would you even post that".

Imagine if it was Leafy.

"Hey, I'm leaving the community. Bye."

What would people say?

Leafy was a hacker. He did nothing but harm the community. Would you be nice to someone whose done so much harm?

He didn't harm the community. He just ruined a game or two. And yes I would, why wouldn't I?

---------

Now to discuss the actual thread. Yes, it kinds of sucks how this works out.

Yet, let me put it this way. If a famous person was shot, everyone would freak out. Now let's say your a middle class businessman who nobody knows and your shot, would your shooting have as big a reaction as the famous person?

The media decides this -- and in this case, so does the MCSG community. If you're not known, there is no point to share to the whole community your leaving, just tell your close friends because they are the ones who know you. If you are known, tell the community because they know you, and you were made by them.

Actually I think he's done more good than bad.

I think you shouldn't have used real player names, that might be insulting to some people.

And I agree, it's not very nice. I can understand saying it as a joke to someone who did it on another thread, but it shouldn't have started in the first place.

Using the same analogy, if the less-known's shooting was broadcasted on the news, people's reactions wouldn't be "Nobody cares". Take for example, the Boston Marathon Shooting; five, not very famous, people died in the tragedy and it created a huge uproar across America.

The "nobody cares" picture should not have been posted at all, because it is just blatantly rude. Sadly, it seems to becoming a trend with recent Goodbye threads, where that picture is posted.

This is true! I really dislike people lowering others self-esteem. I had a problem a thread ago on my profile for myself even so.

Well the analogy was about the popularity chain, and the reaction -- of course no one would say "nobody cares." Also one thing, you're talking to a New Yorker, and that bombing happened quite close to me. Before I say anything, note that I do care for those who died in that terrible incident.

While the bombings did cause a huge uproar, it was NOT because of those 5 people. (It wasn't even 5 people by the way.) In my shooting analogy the reaction was meant to be ABOUT those who were shot -- not the shooting itself.

The reason the bombing had such an uproar was because it was terrorists and was so unexpected and effective, not because of those five [four] deaths.

If it was about the people, then why did the Texas incident get so little attention that happened afterward? Especially if more people were killed and injured in that incident?

I agree with this, while this is rude thing to do, I'm explaining the psychology behind it.
