I'd recommend Dxtory since it can compress the file whilst recording (an average 20 minute video will be about 30-40gb) and can output as 1 file as opposed to FRAPS which can have mahooooosive file sizes and has to split the files up into 3-5 minute segments... unless you have a RAID setup.
ah that's good news, nice to see they've fixed a lot of issues I had with the programNewer versions of Fraps don't split files, and compressing with Dxtory can be very resource heavy and only work on higher end computers. Fraps works well on my computer and a 20 minute video is usually around 17-20GB (I use an external hard drive, recording 30fps at 1280x720).
Short answer for people who don't want to spend hours configuring Dxtory:
Buy Fraps.
