I agree on this idea but also i think that there needs to be a risk to getting to the tables. The tables should not be on separate islands but should be on the mainland. Also to get to the tables you would have to either pass a extremely difficult challenge or hurt yourself by purposely falling down a hole or gateway to get to one. <--- Would make getting to the tables an extreme risk and would make the not so good gamer possibly die and the smart gamers to think if the act of getting to the table is worth it.

While I wish there were more benches, I understand why there's only one. If you need to craft, you just have to balls up and hope there isn't a team camping at spawn. I've managed to sneak into spawn, craft iron and even diamond gear, then sneak out without being seen twice. Of course, I've also been killed several more times while trying to do the very same thing. It's all about luck, timing, and not getting so nervous you can't craft properly (happened to me the first time I actually made it to the bench. Accidently threw all my ingots on the ground).

Extra crafting benches would make it so that players dont have to come back to spawn for the prize of crafting major items, such as the diamond sword, making the cornicopia almost useless.

one crafting table is enough unless if it is a 48 player map then it needs 2 with a max of 3

thats not completely true, just cause they're hard to get to doesn't mean theres much of a difference, because than you'll ignore the difficult or dangerous benches and go for the easy ones.
