Whats the difference between a Community Manager and an Administrator? Please help.
Our Minecraft servers are offline but we will keep this forum online for any community communication. Site permissions for posting could change at a later date but will remain online.
The Administrators are the staff above Sr. Moderators. Their role is primarily to oversee the Sr. Staff and make sure that the rules of the community are being administered, in addition to often taking on some technical responsibilities (that's usually a voluntary specialization, though).
The Community Managers (currently Bicentennial_Man and Myself) operate directly under Chad, and essentially make sure the community in its entirety is operating smoothly. In addition to managing and coordinating with the Administrators, we also hold a number of higher-level responsibilities, such as dealing with other communities, cooperating with developers, and dealing with large-scale drama issues that may arise; our most recent example is leading the investigations earlier this week. It may sound like just a few incidents light lifting veiled with big words, but trust me: there are many more responsibilities than we often have time to handle, and they are monumentally heavier than people may realize.
In the words of Chad himself, you can think of me as a, "Mini-Chad", but I personally prefer to be called, "StaR".
Or "Colonel", because that makes me feel awesome.
I had hoped to make my official introduction sometime soon once the most current drama had been dealt with, where I would fully and officially explain the Community Manager rank as well. I guess this qualifies as a teaser trailer. Stay tuned!

Community Managers are actually being seen on the Forums, meaning either Chad have them a kick or they are thinking for themselves actually making the MCSG Community more efficient and easer for the community.Explain more?![]()

I may not post often on the forums, but I monitor them constantly in case something needs to be addressed immediately (such as right now) or something personally piques my interest (such as this). You can usually find me on the, "Staff Online Right Now" panel.Oh mah gawd.

Even though when we weren't seen on the forums, we have always been making the MCSG more efficient and easier for the community. We primarily operate on TS because it's easier to communicate and coordinate through voice chat than clunky lines of text, but the forums are effective for reference and reaching out to more of the community.Community Managers are actually being seen on the Forums, meaning... they are thinking for themselves actually making the MCSG Community more efficient and easer for the community.....
