What exactly happened today? Or yesterday
If You wish to know what just_hello did, you can ask him. We will not disclose the reasons for his demotion as it is against privacy. If he wishes you to know, he will tell you.

So all this hubbub was about a single demotion? If you read this Just_Heloo, no harm intended, but it seems like a much bigger deal than just one mod being demoted.

Although this may not be fully applicable to the situation(s) at hand, it is within our best interests to agree in unison on one straightforward yet important idea...
The idea that drama and overcomplication are two things that are not good anywhere. No matter the case, we must all try our best to ensure we do not take things out of scale as well as act quickly based on impulsive angers within oneself. Of course there are always going to be disagreements on things, but that is something that will happen throughout life. An important life skill is to be able to exist around those who you may not necessarily like (esp. in the workforce). Nonetheless, it is important to not let others mold you into doing things or believing things you are not comfortable with. At the same time, it is important to act within your limits and boundaries set by your peers as well as any superiors. In the end, we all share one thing in common: An enjoyment of the Survival Games. Dwelling on the past is not a good way of going about unless the dwellings revolve around positive experiences and events. As we all know, there have been many good things and bad things happen in MCSG. Let us dwell on the good rather than the bad.

I try my best not to take sides due to the fact that there is so much opinion involved in these sort of situations and we must respect any and all opinions that are given as long as they are reasonable and presented in a civil manner. My apologies if I appear to be taking a side, for I am not as I just stated.

Now I turn to you all...
Let us not dwell on the past and wake up everyday as if it were a new one?

*Note* I am not directly involved with this situation, but I am a part of MCSG (esp. due to the fact that I am a staff member) and therefore I feel it is important to positively contribute to it in any way, shape, or form. My wish is to hopefully not get too involved in this and create further problems that involve me.
If anyone of you feel there is an issue between yourself and I, please discuss said issues with me! The only way for me to change is if I know what the problem is! (*Smaller note* I don't actually think there are any major problems that exist that involve me)

Thanks for that inspirational and long post!

I feel every staff member's opinion is needed and very much appreciated. Like many others that have replied to this thread, I'm glad that you're able to act upon a neutral party and take both situations into account to support your own opinion. By far though I will say that this is the most logical and neutral post on this thread from both a community member and staff's perspective. Thank you for sharing, this does indeed pertain to the situation at hand and I feel it was very much needed.

Time for Tomahawk to lay down some rant.

You people seem to have something to complain about every week. You have too little servers! You have too many servers! Nerf donor privileges! You don't have enough staff! You have too many staff! Getting VIP is too hard! You have too many VIPs!

My point here is, people will always find something to complain about. People are never happy with what they have and must always demand more of people. If you recall any of these previous complaints, they always are an issue for one or two weeks, then everyone stops caring. It is what people like to call the bandwagon effect. The way it works is like this, one person of somewhat "importance" has a complaint or a certain belief. What follows is everyone else agreeing with what this one person said because they see that character as someone of high stature. The same thing happens here all the time.

To sum it all up, you people will complain about this for a week, then will go on complaining about how MCSGv2 isn't as good as MCSGv1 or something.
We do complain about everything, don't we?.... *sigh.

I wonder how I'd feel about this if I was still part of the staff....

Please remember I am just trying to be helpful. I am actually not on either side anymore.

So all this hubbub was about a single demotion? If you read this Just_Heloo, no harm intended, but it seems like a much bigger deal than just one mod being demoted.
It was about other things, too.;)

Yes, we chose to be a mod. We voluntarily did it so we could help you guys out, and keep the servers clean to make it better for you to play on. It is frustrating when people complain about us doing our job wrong when they blame the entire staff over one wrong ban. It's worse when they just call us bad and blame us all over nothing (then say it's criticism and then complain that we can't take it), and when they don't know the full story.

And yes, the people that liked my post are mods because only the other mods truly appreciate all the work that gets put into moderating.
I created a staff appreciation thread because I stand for both sides of MCSG. Not because I'm brown nosing the staff. ;)

If the staff feels under appreciated, then I'll let the community know. Maybe some of these problems wouldn't occur if the staff actually felt appreciated. This thread is not a complaint thread. However, many other threads are. In fact, has there been 1 thread in the history of MCSG showing appreciation? I don't think so.

*edit: I stand corrected! One.

Seriously guys, can't you go 1 day without shouting at the mods over something? This thread is one half bashing the mods, another half with mods trying to defend themselves and one half with people like me who couldn't care less about the whole situation. The only reason I'm here right now is because the whole of MCSG is trying to add their opinions to something they have no knowledge of.

Guys just:

Guys just:

We are not bashing the mods, or at least I'm not. I'm just trying to figure out everything that has been going on.

That's what this thread is for. To understand things and situations and get knowledge. The purpose of this thread is for peaceful discussion.
