No that wouldn't be long enough and contain enough detail it has to be a short story in its self with a begining, middle and end. So to give you a rough I idea I would say to fit in enough info and story I would say around 1000 buts that's just a guess. But its all up to u.

You need to create the backstory for the map, told from the PoV of another character. This acts as a prologue for the story as a whole, but also as a story in its own right, with a distinct beginning, middle, and end. It needs to be set in the tower, and set up the reason why the adventure map is occurring (and you can feel free to do cool branching time streams and have things that are happening later in the prologue, I believe). But mostly, just use your own creative license, as, if you do end up winning the competition, you'll be crafting the entire story (alongside Josh) and won't really be limited by TOO many boundaries, so prepare for that.

Yeh zeno is right The reason we are doing this is because the adventure map will take a long time to make (prob a couple mounts) So this is designed to give the player a taster of the map as soon as possible and to excite them for the main map which will come later down the line.
And if your still confused on what to write just pick someone who you think would be in the tower where the story begins and give that character a little plot line. Just be careful not to let your character run into the main characters face to face as this would be very hard to recreate in mine craft and would change the main plot as we don't know how many main characters there is (it all depends on how many people will be playing together. So u can always have your character just miss the main character or whatever. Just go where your imagination takes you (but remember it is in minecraft lol)
