Honestly, I see two solutions:

1. Map maker rank like Blamph explained

2. Make it harder to get it. For example, a person would only get it if they made at least two or three maps.... I saw this issue coming when I learned that VIP would be given... Out of our build team Red Forest, only us three owners (Me, Ninetailefox92, and Gameraider) have it. This was to limit the number of VIPs... I would honestly give up VIP if it meant getting the way of obtaining it changed.

Heres my idea :
If a build teams first map gets added , they are entitled to 2 VIP accounts
Second map gets added , two more VIP accounts for two more build team members.
And so on...
It would encourage map makers to continue making good maps for MCSG. Although I'm completely against bribing people to make maps , this would balance out the problem as maps are rarely added.

*Sigh* this topic is getting nowhere. It's like all of a sudden VIPs mean something because some people got it from the map contest. I see people get picked on for having VIP and let me say what in the right mind do you think you people have to insult a person for having VIP? Just because they get a purple name and three votes? It's just a title. Say you add a builder title what's the difference? It's just text and honestly it should be treated as any other rank. It shouldn't be treated as some excuse to hate someone just because they have it because honestly that's what I've been seeing recently. The MCSG community should be a supporting community not an insulting one I'm ashamed to see something like this happen. I have friends who are VIP and they keep getting insulted to a point where they want to quit the game and remove the rank. Is that how you want people to feel?

Call me nitpicky, but I'm running into a pretty insane amount of VIPs ever since the new maps are being added. I don't have any problem with the map makers getting a new rank, as some of them truly do deserve it, but it's sort of defeating the point of VIP when there are 4 or 5 of them in a match now.

It seems relatively easy for these teams who were PMC accepted to get it. Can't the main team leader just throw in a couple of friends names into the build process, even if they really only placed down a block or two, and "lie" about them having quite a large part in the actual process. This is my opinion on why only the project leader should get it.

This sort of leads into my next point. Wouldn't it be possible to create a rank for these map builders? Give them a light green or blue name, then they'll get a bit more recognition for what they did and not get questioned and slandered on why they have VIP as I've seen in quite a few lobbies so far.

I agree that they get slandered as VIPs but I think you agree that VIP or not they shouldn't be insulted in the lobbies. Even if it is VIP why should that even matter to someone? People who get VIP titles are VIP for their own reason. I do not know if you do have VIP or not but you're a big member in the MCSG community right? You have 4k subs and with people recognizing you on MCSG you're a VIP in some sort of way. Like if they made a builder rank why not make a commentator/director rank as well? It just seems that adds more unnecessary ranks. Finally the problem is so what if there is a ton of VIPs was VIP something so taboo to start with? It has next to no perks and if anything being a donor is more advantageous. Anyways we'll see if the admins/devs will do anything about it.
