MCSG has been dealing with a hacker issue which has decreased the number of players and motivation to work for the leaderboards. About 50% of the time I die to a hacker on an sg game. Many hackers will get banned but they get another alternate account to keep hacking on MCGamer. Why not ban all hackers that are caught Permanently IP. This will prevent most hackers from logging back on the server.

The thing is with that, there could be siblings or any relatives that play on the network who happen to enjoy playing on it. It wouldn't really be fair for their accounts to be banned due to the fact that someone who is connected with the same IP. Since they're not the same person, it just wouldn't be right for the siblings who play on the network as well.

If a legit player is sibling with a hacker thats their problem. The hacker should face the consequences and they should deal with it at their household. This also isn't very common to see a hacker and a legit sibling. I don't think this should be a big problem. If you want the server add more players and keep players motivated to play this step must be taken. This server will be in ruins if the hacker problem does not subside.

It wouldn't really work out actually, that's just in my own opinion. Let's say if you see a hacker that's live right now. You would report it to the staff members and they can deal with it. It wouldn't be fair for the players who actually play legit. The person who is playing unfairly, deserves to get punished. But, the relatives who haven't really done anything wrong, shouldn't get punished. It would decrease the amount of players if there were IP bans. So, I wouldn't really think there would be an IP ban to every hacker.

Thats where the hacker and their sibling discuss and convince each other not to hack or they'll both get banned. This scenario of a hacker and a legit sibling is very rare. I don't see how this will be a big problem.

It would cause problems most likely, not too sure how it would work with IP banning players. The players who break the rules will be dealt with as usual. For someone who didn't do anything at all, should not be punished at all. Unless they break the rules, then they will be dealt with accordingly.

It is a big step to a big problem, if you want to servers to be playable again this step must be enforced. This servers population has decreased drastically. You can't be worrying about 3 or 4 players who will be banned because their sibling is hacking.

You know that there are unfairly banned players? Also IP ban wont be a solution for hackers since it is really easy to change your IP nowadays, or atleast using a VPN. :D

They could make a dispute if they wanted to the exact same way. This is a somewhat solution for those hackers who don't know how to change IP or use VPN
