Community Response to GoldEllipse's Video?

goldellipse is literally just mad he got his VIP rank taken away again, and all his arguments are poorly said as well.

I am with him on a "few staff are good" part some mods just sit there in the hub not playing games where thousand of hackers are still messing up our games

this staff is truly horrible, but i understand he needed a punishment for playing damn suicide bombers, but seriously, you removed his VIP ? the guy tried to make MCSG a better place, he has 21k subscribers, and probs a lot of people found out about MCSG from GoldEllipse, including me
don't get me wrong, a few mods are decent, but most of them just sit AFK in the hub. the EU mods are absolutely -snip-, they don't help the community at all, they just stay AFK and they pretend they didn't see when you asked for help probably because they're lazy to NOT help you even tho it's their job. the senior staff probably knows about this, but doesn't demote them either way
our only hope left is Chad .-.

If you didn't know, MCGamer does demote staff members. This includes staff members who are completely inactive, abuse their ranks, or for any other serious matter. Think someone isn't doing their job as a Moderator? Report them, problem solved. I have no idea what you mean by revamping. If you mean having every moderator reapply I guarantee you more than 75% of the mods will apply back, including me.

And regarding MCGamer going downhill: I have been a mod here for over a year now, and a player almost since the beginning of the server. Even though the community thinks that since I'm a mod I gotta be nice about the server blah blah blah, I still have my own opinion, and I think that these changes in MCGamer are different, not uphill or downhill, but different. I mean features that the community liked, MCGamer has kept. And features the community disliked, MCGamer has either improvised them or removed them.

For example, let's see the status of MCGamer 1-1 1/2 years ago. This was when there were very perks and features, but a lot of hackers. Now in the present, we have more features(some that community members do not like), but fewer hackers. What would you call this, downhill or uphill? That's what makes these changes different.

Now regarding GoldEllipse, I haven't watched the video yet, but looking at everyone else's opinions it looks like another one of those "let's get more views and subs by making a rant video". I mean literally, he broke the rules, he got his rank removed. He should be happy he didn't get banned. It's a shame how hungry some of these youtubers get for fame.

He isn't trying to get more viewers. Nor subs. I mean dang dude, you doing this and making him a little mad. Just makes more players hit join to server for badlion. Doing this to someone that has a decent amount of subs and advertises your server, isn't helping one bit.

He doesn't deserve the rank at all. He constantly complains about mcsg and does no good to it but give the server a bad reputation. Plus the fact he lost it before shows he has no real care for the rank and takes it for granted.

I agreed with the video. Not just because I hate MCSG and I'm perm banned. The mods/snr mods/admins abuse their powers way too much.

When I went on teamspeak to explain that I meant to say 'not even kidding' instead of killing someone I was instantly denied and wouldn't listen to what I had to say. They're biased, they've banned all of my alts even know they aren't suppose to IP ban people.

So, because you see a few moderators in the hub moderating chat and waiting for people to come to them with questions, concerns, or reports means that they're all useless and just AFK all the time?

Do you have evidence to support this? Because I have 19 months of staff experience telling me otherwise.

And another question, are you saying they go AFK or pretend to be AFK? Because it seems like you're saying both. And pretending to be AFK is more work than just dealing with the situations presented, and moderators do not waste their time doing unnecessary things.

If we do have moderators who are inactive for over a month and do not show willingness or ability to perform their duties, they are removed. The same goes for moderators who break rules, etc.

Frankly, in all my time here I can't think of an instance where a moderator straight up purposely abused their power.

He has been warned. More times than most players, and as I said before this isn't the first time he's had his VIP removed, and the last time such a thing happened, he did the exact same thing, made an angry video bashing the staff.

Ok, I understand why you're angry. Any person in their right mind who has their ban dispute upheld will be angry, but in no way does denying a dispute lead to abuse of power in any way. If we have specific solid evidence to prove that a player is bypassing or could be bypassing their ban with an account, that account will be banned (and it's not just an IP match)

That's like when some rand ass website is sponsoring you and gives you keyboards n shiz and you review it, say it's complete crap and keep it to yourself.

Basically even doe he's advertising he's giving it a bad reputation and he was breaking the rules
