Sleep Paralysis - Scared Or Not?

Probably most of you know what "sleep paralysis" is but in case you don't know what it is.. it's basically when your mind wakes up but your body doesn't. You're still dreaming but everything seems so real it's pretty much real life in a dream. Most of the times you would see paranormal creatures such as ghosts, demonds etc. they would either choke you or talk to you like next to ya' ear or some crap like that.

The reason why I'm making this thread is because I had one not last night but some nights ago.

What basically happened is I woke up everything seemed so real god, and I couldn't move so I realized what was happening. I blinked for a second and then when I opened my eyes I saw some creature with green eyes right on my window. It didn't have a face but I was scared af.

Anyway, when I woke up I read some things regarding "sleep paralysis" and if you actually face the fear such as "demons" you will find out something unbelivable in the end.. That's what people say. BRB TRYING TO SLEEP PARALYSIS

Idk if it's the same but I can kinda lucid dream when I want to. There are a bunch of weird techniques and stuff like that to do so, but sometimes I just randomly lucid dream and is pretty much as you describe. Honestly, I have control over my body and mind (in that dream) so I remember everything's fake, and nothing's terrifying.

I don't think I had sleep paralysis ever in my life.

However I did have some scary dreams when I was little. The one I remember the most was a repeating one and it did not go away until I faced it. In my case it was just a normal dream in which I was able to move and it seemed real to me every time I dreamed it. Waking up just to realize it was a silly dream was such a stupid feeling. Ever night before bed I knew I was going to dream the same thing. Those nightmares stopped when I took a step into the dream.

Back to your "dream" now. If your sleep paralysis is repetitive I think you will have to face the fear to make it stop. In your case you said you can't move which makes this more difficult for me to understand as In my dream I could move. I had my own imagination of creatures but they have never appeared in my dreams as I did face the fear by going to the place I was scared just to find out there was nothing there. I guess your way to face the fear is going to be more challenging than mine.

I don't think we can compare dreams with sleep paralysis but maybe the way to make it stop being repetitive is to face the fear in them.

Edit: I don't think you will find anything if you face your fear. After all its all in your head. Your are just imagining things based of your fear and that's it.

I had sleep paralysis for 10 minutes after a really bad nightmare. I kept on having hallucinations and ghost like, sharp pains on the side of my rib cage. It was absolutely terrifying. It's like waking up the morning with a load of sleep in your eye but your still in dream mode and you can't move a muscle. You try all the techniques that usually wake you up during a nightmare but they don't work no matter how hard you try. It was not very fun 8/8 wouldn't do that ever again.

My dream wasn't as bad because the "ghost" was just staring at me like

"u wot m8"

but I wish I could have a worse one and get the experience

as In my dream I could move
If you can FREELY move and create everything you want, it's called lucid dreaming. If you're moving somewhere without you controlling it or can't move at all, it's just a normal dream (also in dreams when you try to run or do any physical actions it feels like your whole body is made of aids-balloons that don't do sht)

the "ghost" was just staring at me like

"u wot m8"
