When people looks at your wins, they think you are pro. But what pro is it to only play two maps? People is saying it is the low-ranked people who makes it happen, but it is actual the NEW high-ranked ones.
People like you get all the noob vote that map, which is one of the main parts of the breeze/SG4 cycle.
SG is now mostly a PVP server, like all PVP servers.
I find SG to be too similar to servers like EzPVP.
MCSG in my opinion is no longer SG.
Because I remember.
Remember the old times.

Man do I ever remember the good 'ol days. Like back when, on SG1, every night the herd got thinned out fantastically by mobs, avoiding the half hour witch hunts through the ocean, or where SG2 games could possibly be less then one day cycle, again with the help of hostile mobs.......I miss those days.

Zukodark, my respect towards you. Those are some of my top favorite maps, too.

there is something you missed... Why I the community enjoys playing breeze and mcsg4? Just because you are sick of it doesn't mean thousands o others are not...
Voting gives everyone a fair say in the mAps. If you don't like how te voting turns out get into a server with a few like minded plAyers and play all the ancient Japan and sky land survival you want...
The voting/skip system isn't broken, so there's no point in fixing it.

And... this. Would we be able to get a forum community server up? That'd be the be the best thing in the world.

But beside my strafing the point. Voting does give everyone a fair say in what they want to play, but not if they only know one thing. New players are like the angler fish, they don't really know what else to be (or in this case, play). They only know the two overplayed maps, and only that. Give them an opportunity to play and learn other maps, I'm sure other maps would be played more.

So stop monotony.

You all seem to understand the problem very well. I'd just like to point out a few things.

- Back when SG2 came out we were FORCED to play it, for a little over a week we all hated it but, being forced to play it, we dealt with it and came to love the map.
- The same happened with SG3, and was also very popular back then after a bit of hate.
- This was NOT done with any of the new (underplayed) community maps.

THIS is why we need random maps to be chosen. When forced to play a map your conditioned to deal with whatever comes at you, rather than being conditioned to do the same thing every game. As you said, players are bred with the meantality to - Vote/skip for SG4 - Discover a route - Attempt this until win - rinse and repeat. Having this repetitive voting disallows us to like any maps but SG4 or occasionally Breeze.

The story of how I learned to love this map is exactly what we are talking about. Whenever karmunrah was voted I left the server. Then one day my good old friend reavezz decided to show me his route.

I followed him around and learnt his route and we ended up winning. I love it now. It is one of my favorites. It only takes one game to completely change some ones mind about a map. It worked with me, and it worked with others I have done it with.

If only these poor people had a willing group of pros to show them how awesome some maps are... That is our job. Its not the devs job to fix the sg4/breeze issue, it's ours. Ever game recruit some people and show them your route for some under played maps. Make a big change, one person at a time!

I do that every now and then. I ask if anyone wants to team and I show them a decent route on a new map. Although, I rarely show my route because I probably will never team with them again and I really dont need everyone on my route. Feel sorry for blamph on that
