What are your thoughts on an Introduction/Farewell corner?

Greetings. I was sitting in my chair, pondering; as you do. I came up with the idea of having an Introduction/Farewell corner. With the abundance of people coming and going on the forums, I feel sometimes the threads get a bit repetitive at times and I was just wondering what the community's opinion on it would be.

Obviously this isn't a certain implement, but it would basically be a section or a 'corner', much like the Community Corner where people would post their introduction threads, and their farewells. The section would include a possible introduction template for the newcomers that have little-to-no forum experience, or even a lot of experience if they are migrating from another network. The template would go something like this;

What is your age:
What are your goal(s) for the Forums?:
What are your goal(s) for MCGamer?:

Your favourite colour(s):
An embarrassing fact:
Your personality?:
Your hobbies?:
Your gaming interests?:
Favourite Sport?:

Rate your experience with Forums [/10]:
How long are you planning on staying with MCGamer?:

Of course the template is open for suggestions. So what are your thoughts on this idea? I am reiterating that this will not be something that will be implemented, it is simply my idea.

Normally, an introduction thread gets forgotten in a day, if no one posts. I just feel that if you were new to forums, and you joined, you'd be more comfortable looking for a section named "Introduction/Farewell" rather than hovering over a section name. By all means, I understand what you are saying. I am just suggesting something convenient.

Definetely an interesting suggestion!

I personally like just the introductions to be free and have the writer show himself through what he wants to show in that thread, and that farwells be the same, and it seems more like a discussion/story or something.

But I wouldn't mind a section for those!
