What are your thoughts on an Introduction/Farewell corner?

I think it should be a sub-forum and the farewell is unnecessary. Whenever someone posts a farewell thread, then come back, people will be able to easily find it. I've seen this done already, but I feel as if it would lead to flame, plus farewell threads are already unnecessary, why do they need their own section?

Hmmmmmmm, maybe instead of a sub forum for this we have a sub forum for Events? They take up a ton of space at the top, and moving them out of the way could clear up some space for farewell/leaving threads.
