The really sad thing is, I bought this account off of the previous owner without knowing that there was already a previous offence of "admitting to hacks." I am actually unaware of why it's still a rule. I really love these servers to death but despise of this rule, now that it has caused me to stop experiencing as much joy as I had before.

....I think that if you get banned for hacking then it is fair enough for the rule to at least be there....I think that ban evasion should be allowed with certain punishments, such as my punishment....
"Hackers shouldn't be allowed to bypass their bans! But in my case, I should be allowed to bypass!"

If you enjoyed and respected the network, you should have been aware of the network's rules. But it seems that you were not aware of the rules, thus you broke a rule, and you were punished for it. You might not agree with the rule, but it was still a rule that you broke. Seems like an open and shut case to me.

I think that ban evasion should be allowed with certain punishments, such as my punishment.
We issue bans as a punishment for offences. But if you are suggesting that we allow people to evade their ban, then you are basically allowing us to not punish people for said offences. You're basically allowing a loophole that favors the wealthy with multiple account, and encourages people to break rules and get away with it.

Really, this thread isn't about the legitimacy of bypassing bans: it's about you not thinking your case of Admitting to Hacks justified a Permanent ban. That already has its own separate thread.

If not I'll try to pull a few strings to get you unbanned, that's what me and my friends used to do cx
Duly noted. I'll warn the Sr. Staff to prepare for you.

This case is the entire reason I made this PSA here:
http://www.mcgamer.net/threads/psa-the-dangers-of-private-party-purchases.122630/

Basically, you engaged in a risky behavior by purchasing a MC account without knowing its ban history. You accepted that risk the moment you purchased that MC account. And because of our "1 account, one owner" policy, that ban will stay no matter who claims to own the account now.

Really, it would have been easier for you to purchase a legitimate new account with a fresh history, than for you to change a network-wide policy in order to let your risky-purchase account play.

Well to be honest, it may seem ridiculous to be banned for a joke, but it states right in the rules that admitting to hacks, even jokingly, is punishable. Not knowing something was against the rules does not justify rule breaking. I'm sorry you feel this way but the fact remains that you broke a rule.

I did not mean that my specific offence was evasion worthy, I meant anyone who gets preposterously banned for admitting to hacks would be able to evade a ban. Obviously the case is no, I just found the predicament of my ban highly unfair.
