In my experience as mod, the community looks for someone trustworthy, reliable, honest.
Someone they can look to for help when they need it and know you will be there to help them!

Just being a good person is enough to win over the community, as well as interacting with them a lot in games and talking with them on ts and as I do, make threads occasionally addressing them :)

Hope this helped a little :)

There are a lot of qualities that I would say make a good mod. Those that stand out to me and others are some of the more qualities such as responsibility, maturity, dedication, etc. but there are also some less recognized qualities that also play a big part in being a good member of this staff team. One must know how to take the community's opinion into consideration, know how to connect with the players in the community. It's more than just banning hackers, it's being responsive to those who need help, acting as a conveyor of good ideas between the players and Sr. Staff, and also enforcing the rules.
